Diaper Need Awareness Week is September 24-30, 2018 and we hope you will help us spread the word about #DiaperNeed in WNC. More than 1 in 3 families struggles to afford diapers in our area. Diapers are a basic human need, despite being priced and taxed as a “luxury item”. Did you know that a pack of Starbucks K-cups is taxed at a lower rate than diapers? Lower-income families are unable to afford bulk diaper packs and pay more per diaper.
Babies Need Bottoms is able to purchase diapers for under 10 cents/diaper, which is less than half the retail cost, so please consider donating on a monthly basis to help provide diapers to local babies. As a volunteer-operated 501(c)(3), we do not pay any employees and we also do not pay for an office, so your donations go directly to improving the lives of local babies and parents.
You can help by getting involved and spreading the word about diaper need. Donate diapers. Donate time. Donate money. Share our Facebook page or our website! We are working to improve the lives of babies and parents in western North Carolina and every diaper counts!
Babies Need Bottoms is seeking 20 monthly donors to donate $20/month as sustaining members to ensure we can continue to purchase diapers for families in crisis in our community!
